The Jazzmaster is a classicdesign. From its initial popularity in the world of surf rock to becoming favoured among the indie and alternative community, the Jazzmaster has been an electric guitar mainstay. The Squier Affinity Series Jazzmaster has that iconic Jazzmaster look but with humbuckers instead for a more modern tone.

Construction

The body is made from the relatively lightweight poplar and is paired with a maple neck and Indian laurel fingerboard. The neck has a comfortable "C" shape to it while the laurel fingerboard provides a smooth, natural-feeling playing surface. With its Arctic White finish and black pickguard, this Affinity Series model adds a modern twist to this classic design.

Pickups

The Affinity Series Jazzmaster differs from a traditional model in a couple of noticeable ways. First is the pickups. With dual humbuckers, you get a more modern and versatile sound. Warmer, thicker, and punchier than a Jazzmaster single-coil, these pickups will handle a wide range of genres. The other is the bridge, instead of the floating vibrato tailpiece you get a hardtail bridge for greater tuning stability and sustain. Perfect for aggressive strumming!
