Epsom salt is also known as magnesium sulfate. It is a chemical compound composed of magnesium, sulfur, and oxygen. \n \nDespite its name, Epsom salt is a completely different compound from table salt. It was probably called “salt” because of its chemical composition. It looks like table salt and is often dissolved in the bath, so you may also know it as “bath salt.” Although it looks similar to table salt, it tastes distinctly different. Epsom salt is quite bitter and unpalatable. \n \nHowever, you probably don’t want to add it to food because of its taste. We don't recommend it for the Human Body.  \n \nSpecial Caution: None of our chemicals is suitable for human consumption or use in food. These are only for Research and Analysis. \n

Benefits of Epsom Salt

\nMention Epsom salt in a conversation, and most of us have a ‘ah, Epsom salt’ reaction. This is because it must remain in a household from generation to generation. It was once commonplace to soak in an Epsom salt bath to relieve tension. In our busy lifestyles, we’ve swapped baths for showers and eliminated true natural calm and relaxation. Many of us have come full circle, admitting that there are no shortcuts, and wisely reverting to some truly wonderful remedies of old! \n \nEpsom salts are widely used in the garden/horticulture industry as they greatly aid in producing chlorophyll, producing healthy green leaves. Epsom salt aids in the uptake of nitrogen and potassium, essential elements for a plant’s overall health and vigor. Many professional citrus growers use Epsom salt. Roses, gardenias, and peppers love Epsom salts, too! \n \nUse Epsom salts for bath salts, foot soaks, face scrubs, hair volumizers, and splinter removal, among many other uses. This product is so versatile that a brief browse on the internet will reveal many more uses that we haven’t mentioned.
