Mintop 5% solution is used in the treatment of hair loss. How it works:-works by widening blood vessels and opening potassium channels, it allows more oxygen, blood, and nutrients to the follicle. Minoxidil belongs to the class of medications called as vasodilators. It stimulates hair growth in early and moderate stages of hereditary hair loss (alopecia androgenetica) by increasing the diameter of the hair shaft and stimulating and prolongating the growth phase of hair follicle (anagen). Minoxidil enhances blood flow to hair follicles thereby stimulating the growth. Common side effects:- Headache, Allergic reaction, Skin rash, Chest pain, Edema, Dermatitis, Abnormal hair growth on a women face and body.
