Centella asiatica, commonly known as Gotu kola, kodavan, Indian pennywort and Asiatic pennywort, is a herbaceous, perennial plant in the flowering plant family Apiaceae. It is native to wetlands in the Caucasus, Tropical & Subtropical Old World to New Zealand and the West Pacific. It is used as a culinary vegetable and as a medicinal herb.

Centella Asiatica's main chemical components, triterpenoid saponins, are thought to be primarily in charge of its extensive medicinal effects. The herb is also advised for the treatment of many skin ailments, including leprosy, lupus, varicose ulcers, eczema, psoriasis, amenorrhea, and diseases of the female genitourinary tract, as well as for reducing anxiety and enhancing cognition.

Usage:

For reducing acne:

Mix centella leaf powder with Multani mati powder, 1 pinch of  Kosturi powder, Neem powder, Pudina, Tulsi powder with 2-3 drops of tea tree essential oil and apply it on your skin regularly. 

For removing acne scars:

Add centella leaf powder with Multani mati powder, Punarnava powder, potato powder, neem powder, and 2-3 drops of lavender essential oil and apply on skin.

As a hair pack:

Add centella leaf powder with kalmegh, brahmi, amlaki, shikakai and neem powder with 5/7 drops of rosemary essential oil. Apply the pack to your hair and gradually it will reduce dandruff and hair fall.
